i had a customer who had corn down so bad he had me try to get it with a grain head. It is not a very good idea to try because you are taking in all the fodder and it is a slow and power robbing event. good luck if you want to try it.

It can be done. Not to good on the knifes but can be done. Guy around my Grandpa's use to combine corn with his grain head. Didn't grow much corn but grew a few number of acres that required a grain head so he never bothered getting a corn head. He cut it just below the cob and faired well. As I said, not that greatest on the grain head. Take care, Nathan

Combined 78 acres with a grain head with sunflower pans and it was a slow process but the corn went 106 bushels and when it was the driest at 19% was going 2.5 mph and when a little rain shower when got to .8 with my 2188. Work out good if just getting started into corn.
