Combines Capacity of JD 6600

A 643 and 220 will both work a 6600 pretty good, how heavy do your crops yieldIJ - a 218 and 443 might be more doable. As for the MudHog - the 404 non turbo puts out around 120 hp - factory PRWD will pull the motor, so i'd say a MudHog would be the same or worse - as for hydro. capacity - it would be okay. 95man

I run a 6600 PRWD factory and use a 218 flex. In 40 bu beans I can go in 2nd with hydro at 6_8. I have been lucky over the past 4 years and have not had to use the 4WD so I do not know the power loss. In a good day, 6-8 hours I can do between 25-40 acres dumping into wagons. I do not combine any corn.

I used to have a 6600 2wd. I ran a 444 and a 218 flex. In good beans or slightly green, the 218 gave it heck. I know a guy that has a 4wd and he put a turbo in it and it will scoot with a 220. I've been told that some of the sidehill 6600's had turbos so I wouldn't think there would be problem adding one other than changing manifolds.
