What I read from CNH web site is that there will be a new red single rotor to go with the new Yellow twin rotor. They say some parts will be shared by both machines. As far as I am concerned that is just fine. I have a Mcdon built JD swather Which except for paint and some cutting parts is the same as the Mcdon built CIH swather, it has been darn nice to be able to go to an IH or Mcdon dealer when JD was out of the part I needed to get back to work.

I watched the webcast conference call the other day and the CEO talked about 50 to 60 new products that will be coming out in the next 2 years for CE an AG divisons of CNH so i would imagine the new combines are not too far out

One main reason for the switch to JD is the head hunting deere was doing for Case combines. Our dealer was even fishing when he knew we just got ours, and probably wouldn't be interested. Besides, a 2188 has more potential capacity, just not the hp of any other make on the top end. And information is from both company's publications. Have a good day

I dont think they will discontinue making the Case combine it will probably be like the rumor of the cnh global making different models on the same chasis. I myself think that will be a good thing in alot of aspects for example the field tracker should be a standard feature. I think if they take all the good points from the two companies they can build one hell of a harvester. There are too many people out there like you and I who wont change brands unless we have no choice. The merges have happened before and like the Case International merger they still kept the technology of the International combines. The CaseIh market is so much greater then the New Holland one that they are not going to lose customers to the other brands in hopes to make the New Holland king of the mountain. There will probably be changes what we like and dislike but I dont believe they will throw such a good thing out the window. Deer is promoting there combines so hard just like they have done in the past and I will say Case has done it a little aggressive themselves,it has hurt the resale on used machines in a bad way if you look at Gleaner, and New Holland there price is still up there. I know alot of guys switch brands on the financing plans and the aggressive dealing taking place but I have been sold on the red ones from day one and like I say I will continue to run them for as long as I can. Dad and I talked about dumping our 2188 and 2388 and getting two new 9650 sts basically to protect ourself if the Case goes south but you then have to get all new heads and rebuild you parts inventory, learn about a new machine and myself think they need to have a few more years under their belts to work out the little problems. This is a very big business and I myself dont think they will lose out in one aspect trying to improve majorly in another. It is good to see there are other loyal Red Guys out there. I think it will all come out in the wash, I hope so..

I don't think they will make the Case-IH combine a thing of the past, in my area of the country there 20-25 red combines to 1 yellow one. I really don't think they will shoot themselves in the foot ,at least I hope they won't anyway

rotor man what is the web site of cnh can't seem to get any info on the cnh site I got into. The IH rotor will be around for awhile deere guys seem to speak well of them now since there's a green one. looks like alot of red in that design to me. And the patent was up on axial flow a year or two ago.Great talking

Just hate to see CASE lose any more market share. Any thing they lose now will be hard to make back later. Only hope now is the (NEW) combine rumerd to come soon. Hope CNH gets there act to gather be for things get out of hand.

I'd hate to see them go too. I worked at JD dealership the summer when they were testing them. Some employees were crowing that fall, that in corn harvest a 9750 STS had a semi leaving the field every 15 minutes. It was 200 bushel corn or right close to it. I told them I ran a 2188, engine had been turned up a little bit from stock, with specialty rotor. Had a yield monitor, and I could average 900 bu.per hour, in 60 bushel wheat. You tell me which one is the beast and with less hp. It has all been PR, and CNH had better pick up the pace a little.

Case combines are not going to be dinosaurs. CNH is planning a common platform machine that can use the Case single rotor (that deere felt they needed to copy) and the NH twin rotor system. Case will be around for a long time (if deere doesn't BUY the market),so don't worry about the axial flow, it's alive and well.
