Combines Case head VS Honeybee Head

I have wondered how the draper headers work in beans too. I haven't seemed to have very good luck in finding out though.

I sale Case-IH 1052 draper heads and they work really well. The draper will not cut beans as close to the ground as a flex head, but they will do a better job than a rigid. You will also find that the draper will speed up your ground speed due to the even feeding. In my opinion you can't go wrong with the MacDon or Case 1052, I don't know much about the Honeybee. Hope this helps.

I wish there was some way of trying one out, to see if it would cut close enough in soybeans for us. Hopefully we have around 200 acres this year, and they do well enough to worry about it

I have not been around peas, but don't you have to get pretty close to the ground to harvest themIJ

Big Al, If you can wait until 2002, HCC, Inc. expects to have the Razer system available for sale. It is a high speed chain cutting system that works equally well on a 1020 or 1010. I used a 1020 prototype on soybeans in the flex setup and in wheat locked in the up position. Very clean cut and much reduced shatter. Can cut at speeds of 8-10 mph. if desired.
