How attached are you to this 1460. Unfortunatly, fixing this oil leak is usually expensive. You will have to remove the lH side panel, the hydro and the PTO. Normally, there isn't anything wrong with the seal, but with the shaft. This shaft, which drives the hydro pump, as well as the seperator, is supported at the outer end by a bearing, and a bushing in the flywheel at the inner end. For some reason, some enginer decide the bushing needed to be harder than the shaft, therefore, wearing the end of the shaft enough that the seal will leak. In nearly all my experiences in four years with CIH, a new shaft was required to fix the problem. And usually, the gears are showing enough wear to warrant the replacement.
