There is also a new front feeder chain drum out that is supposed to help eliminate refeeding, don't know if this has been mentionedIJ It is triangular instead of a smooth round drum. It is called the Posifeed drum manufactured by loewen. That might be worth a try.

There definitely is something strange about the auger arrangement. I checked for dirt when I adjusted it at the wedges the other day, this adjustment seems to be nearly infinite. I lowered the auger to 3_8 clearance and set cutoff perfectly to 1_16, by both moving auger back and setting bar up. But, I was extremely irritated when I picked the header up with combine and found that the flighting scrubbed. But it scrubbed only when I lifted it up, at cutting height it cleared. It's like the auger fell back against it when lifted up and fell forward when down. We ended up readjusting it to clear, only on one side of header - the other side was OK. Is something not right here or is this common - not a very good setup.
