Combines Case IH Combine Parts Availability

you only need the auger or a drive update kitIJ anyway, the story i've heard was that CNH built 200 more combines than were expected because of overwhelming demand. the parts that were used in manufacturing were taken out of depot stock instead of manufacturing stock. thus, the short supply on some combine and corn head parts.

The parts man at our local dealership said that they have been changing everything over to the NH system. Evidently it has casued lot of problems of parts availability and some parts have been misnumbered. The parts guys hate it because parts that have had the same number for years suddenly have a completely new random number. The new numbers are randomly selected and are about 12 digits long. Have you thought about getting your auger reflightedIJ We have a welding and fabricating shop nearby that reflights augers with heavy duty flighting, balances, and straigtens them. We've had them do unloading augers, inclined augers, grain cart augers, etc. The only ones they won't touch are the bottom grain tank augers and those beneath the rotor, because they're too thin. Maybe there's someone in your area that can do that. Good luck.

Have you tried going thru Schmid Machine in Upper Sandusky Ohio ,Spallinger in Bluffton Ohio ( Combine salvage yard lot's of parts ).

Go to your local J.D. dealer and ask them to get you one through thier Parts Country After market line ( AandI ). It is cheaper and will be there the next day . The flighting is not as heavy as the Case but at least you will get one .

You guys that find it easy to bash CNH, maybe its all about the lame dealers that dont stock the common wear items, such as augers and or get on hand before harvest starts. I find it pretty embarrassing that some of you guys cant get simple parts from dealers. But Im personally most likely spoiled because I have good access to a COMBINE SUPER STORE located in DIKE, IA. Nevertheless, the dealers should take more strides to keep theyre customers coming in the door!!! Please dont get me wrong, reflighting is agood option to use if you have time.

when it comes to augers and chains and the like I learned a long time ago to go to abilene machine.They have cheaper prices better parts when it comes to the augers at any rate. They are made by lowen who makes some really good stuff. I feel your pain also I needed some feederhouse chain slats and I ordered them from IH and waited a month. and then they won't fit without drilling them. have had the same lack of service with green ones and yellow ones too so it's not just IH. It comes from the just in time metality. I ama shortline equipment dealer also so I have my fair share of this crap some days too. later, Will P.S Corn is unreal yields are beyond good. gonna start on beans today they look good as well.

I would call Shoup mfg, or Sloan express or Abilene Machine. I would take the loewen Brand over CNH anyday and will be cheaper. It will only be a few dollar to have hard faced on leading edge, and I also certain that it will be cupped flighting. The one gentleman is right that AandI will have them, and JD owns more than 50% share of that company now. If you know your CNH part n you can go right to JD web page and cross the number and any get a price without even bothering your local dealer. I 100% agree with you that CNH is headed for trouble, even though I hate to cross the day that we have to switch.

This morning came and still no auger so my dealer got one from an adjacent dealer who had several in stock. The combine is going back together now. The parts man at the adjacent dealership told me the cause is that things are in confusion at the HUB because new Holland is changing a lot of CIH numbers to NH numbers and the parts are stored all over the place in vans, trucks, containers etc and they don't know where some of the parts are. That bullheaded arrogant New Holland outfit is going to be the death of CIH yet. Worst move they ever made getting in bed with New Holland in my view.

Sounds to me like you should be chewing your dealers a$$, not CNH. Sure dealers should not rely on one another for parts but if your machine is down n1 objective is to get you running. Why didn't you take theinititve to call other dealers if your dealer can't take care of you. Secondly if they put the order in correctly and called Order Management they would know exactly when the part would arrive. I get tired of everyone putting down CNH when some of thhhe problems are self inflicted. Just my viewpoint.
