Combines Cast iron piece at front end of rotor shaft

Those knobs are scrapers which are supposed to prevent stems from wrapping on the shaft between the rotor and the front bearing. Older machines usually have 1, newer machines usually have 2. Don't really know whether the addition of the extra lug on newer models actually makes any difference.
