Combines cdf and rocks

Yes, I believe more rocks get by door with CDF. I think the smaller diameter rotor has something to do with it. The relationship between the door and rotor has changed letting the rocks get in more before getting pushed down. Then they hit the front of concave and cause damage.

Can't say we had a problem with this but wondering about trying to shim the rotor back out to the original size it probably should have been, 25" i beleive, Agco says no but in that case it would probably work and make things better.

I was wondering about filling in some or all the area between the cly. bars . Maby Terry from St John's has some thoughts on this Tim

Had a rock get by the door with a standard rotor,and do major damage. Replaced it with a CDF rotor,and have no problems. 3 rocks and no damage.

we reset, per instructions, to 0 on top grate and .75 I think on bottom all cdf's. We have run with only 4 bars in before in corn and beans. I really can't see where this is a major change to cause problems in theory , but actuality can be different sometimes. If stones are a problem, and one has the hump kit, hmmm, could the spring setting be too tightIJ

Tbran, did you ever run a p1 with the 4 bar configuration. We have a fully hypered n5 including non-adjustable seperator grate with 1_2 set of channel helicals. We were wondering if the 4 bar setup may get us more whole cobs. Hyper II was concerned in beans that we may have trouble with flow. He also said he had never run the 4 bar setup. Thanks for any opinions. Kirk
