Combines Centering chaffer sieve

I have had the pan out my combines on many an occasion over the years. I find the best way is to take all the support arms off and mount the shoe in the right place with some wood under it and then put the shoe hangers on in pairs starting with the lower front. It takes some time but the rewards are great. I found take just moving the washers on each individual arm doesn't work, you must do it as a whole unit.Shim so each hanger sits nice and square and it should be OK. Have fun.

Thanks for the advice Hooter. I have had the rails out a few times myself. This time I checked the sieve rails for square when I had it out on the floor, it wasn't. I had to loosen up all the bolts and put tension on it with a come-a-long before retightening the bolts. Hung it back in the shoe and it is centered correctly.
