Where was this dealer located and just why did he go out of businessIJ We are just losing way too many good farm equpment dealers.

The dealer was in Sweet Springs, MO. He sold because of retirement. It's my understanding, however, that Agco wouldn't let another dealer come in.

The sales manager of 32 years and an investor were set up to take things over. There was 6 people in Georgia that approved the new ownership and 1 that did not. I hope he can sleep at night, I will never shake his hand. The contract went to Dean machinery in Sedalia Mo They are a Cat dealer. If you are looking for a gentleman, it is Wilbur Scott, He came up to me while I was watching the auction and watching everthing slip away, he ashed me how my mom and dad were doing, my dad bought his first tractor from him in 1964. 80 something years old and still devoted to his customers. Wish corporate America was that way. I have my name on a loan with Agco and have yet to hear anything from them about the dealer closing and the new one opening, you would think their data base would be spittin out bullitens left and right to the customers. Done venting, Thanks for listening

Thank you for sharing. I know it was hard to take. I can't believe the bulk of AGCO had to buckle to only 1 man! Whatever happened to majority ruleIJ Well, I guess that's how this whole country has been going for some 45 years now. Not only that, but it sure makes our farmers and custom harvesters have to go that much further for parts and service. Sheesh!
