Hello l3, We have a rigid airfoil in a l2 and it dose a great job in wheat and soybeans. You could shop the salvage yards for a posible used one, they last forever. What crops are you inIJIJ Where are you locatedIJIJIJ Talk to you later

If you are in central Ks.--you might try Mike's Equip.-1-800-543-2535--They may have one of the All Crop Air Foils that St. John used to build---they have a lot of salvage machines out there

loewen makes a good airfoil, - I believe it is the only one that comes with welded in dividers, and is galvanized.

The only trouble I know is if the cyl. breaks up the cob in some types of corn it will put more trash in the bin, and in milo the stalks will stick in the front of the chaffer and reduce your air flow, some guys block the first four or five rows of the chaffer with good'ol duct tape. Over all I really like the airfoil chaffer. Hows the wheat looking in central KSIJIJIJ We harvest at Harper KS SW of Witchita and it dosen't sound to good there. We also get parts from Mike's Equipment, nice guy Feel free to email anytime Happy Harvesting!!!

The secret to an airfoil is to make sure you are doing a good, efficent job of threshing ( good concaves and bars--don't grind and pound--thresh),run plenty of air, and I tell my customers to open the bottom sieve at least TWICE as wide as the book calls for---when you shut the bottom sieve down, you are shutting off the air to the airfoil. We build the All Crop AFC here---and it is rare to see one come back if guys will do these things to their machines
