I had a 8780 and went to a 8780xp . The 9690 has some improvements over the xp,different rotor,cab but very close to a 8780xp.I can tell you that I have enjoyed these machines more than any I have owned. And I have had Deere, CIH and been around Gleaners.They run, there simple, have alot of capacity and are comfortable.And my dealer is 100 miles away and its not a problem.

Try your local Cat Dealer anyway, you never know what the current program is. I know that the marketing programs between Cat dealers and Massey dealers are not the same. Check out the website at AGCOCORP.com. Good luck!!!

I would be leary of it yet. I demoed one in Milo last fall and was not as impressed as expected.
