Combines Change Pan on 1688

Check all your seive shoe bushes. Grain pan break up is a sure sign you have worn bush(es). When this happened to us dealer advised us to weld it up then replace 1st wet day. I think we had to remove all the shoe including supporting channels along sides of combine and job took 2 of us about 4 hrs!

make sure that when you have your seive rails out in addition to checking the arm bushings, that you check to see that the rails aren't cracked where the bolts go thru. ensure that when you reinstall, the sieve rails are in straight. use washers as needed. why is your pan crackedIJ do you have the updated slip clutch on the right side behind the big pulleyIJ. we have found that this update has been very good at eliminating banging of the cleaning system. the "dogs" on the clutch wear the holes oblong and consequently your sieves are more prone to pounding.. good luck
