We went from a a 2000 R62 to a 2005 R65, differences that i can think of right now are, hydro has been moved up into the rear of the engine compartment, cab is changed with pillars in the two corners, all the monitors are overhead and everything that is moving when harvesting is darn near monitored with a digital readout on there speed and if it goes below a set speed then alarms will go off. A few other changes are a little slower road speed due to i would think different gearing, more torque for hills and mud, the tailings and clean grain elevators are now adjusted from the bottom, very nice, new rotor now although ours wasn't equipped as it was just at that change period and couldn't get it, hydraulic chaff spreader, it might have been available before but it is really nice versus the geared spreader, fine cut chopper is excellent and easy to change the knives, Smart Trac is in the computer in the cab instead of a seperate box, all in all some very nice changes. Now on to one more gripe i have, Agco needs to change there flexhead so we can cut lower and do a nicer job without plowing in the lighter sands, i know all you guys ahve said its justg a matter of adjustment but we have tried everything, had Agco reps out and they tried to set it up better, all it did was plow dirt so hoping Agco will have a newly designed flexhead in the very very near future, like to hear if anyone knows about this or not. Hope this helps as far as the changes.

Just a thought, when cutting in sandy conditions, how often do you clean the top of the skid shoesIJDoesn't take awhole lot of dirt for the heads to lose their flex, and all colors do it.

When harvesting lentils in our very dry conditions, skid plates have to be blown clean at least 3 or 4 times a day with a 100cfm mobile compressor. Flex performance deteriorates badly when the skid plates are loaded with dirt.

Thats something we do daily too and under the risers too, they are easy to flip up and clean and do help with feeding some and also with stones, really keeps alot ot stones out but we still need an air reel to keep the flow feeding well.

I have an 04 8000-25' head on my 62,no raised feathering sheets. It feeds very well, short or tall, only time it plows is when too much dirt gets on the shoes.Sometimes clean them 3 times a day.Does a much better job than the 800 I had.
