no do not have to pull bars or filler plates. if i remember right, you drop the concave all the way down in front and rear. take out the bolts that hold it in on both sides front and rear. and just slider on out. it is pretty heavy so a loader or forklift is handy. cherry picker would work ok too.

it is a lot easier if you take bars an filler plates out if yuo got bent concave it it very possible you have a bent bar or 2, like he said turn concave open all the way then go on outside of machine 1 bolt each side double nut on back of cocave an pins in front with cotter pins, any more questions ask i try to answer sooner,have done a few. good luck
