It would depend how high up you go with the Auger. Instead of putting the Auger vertical put it at an angle or even horizontal (like the old Gleaner combines). Thanks Pete
Can you check the auger with out taking it out of the combineIJ As far as I can tell mine looks good and has no shake in it. How often do you guys grease the u-jointsIJ I was doing it about every 50 hrs, but maybe a little more often would be betterIJ I have the big bin ext on the combine but seldom fill it to the top. Over all I really like my TR99. Ilnh
My recommendation is to take it out. You can't see the flighting at the bottom without taking it out. It only takes a few minutes.Only 8 bolts I think. How many hours do you have on your 99IJ
I cant see why another angle gearbox cant be made at the correct angle to just put a straight auger in it like the 97 98 TRs or is that too simple for CNH
We have about 385 engine and 290 on the sep now. Still have about 100 acres of double crop beans to cut as soon as it drys a little. Was hoping to finish by turkey day, but may be a few days later. Been a long year down here, never could get started this spring and now can't get done this fall. O'well so it is. Ilnh
The bubble up gearbox that is in the combine could still be used. The only reason you cannot directly use a TR98 bubble up system in the TR99 is because the clean grain elevator is wider on the TR99, therefore changing the geometry of the tube mounting to the hopper. It can be done with modification though. Or use the lower half of the TR99 bubble up tube and bolt on a rigid extension to the top of it and then drop in a TR98 auger.
