I wouldn't let them get more than a 1" radius. I remember the old conventionals would have plugged walkers in edible beans if conditions were right and blades had more than a 1_2" radius. I know the rotarys will surely have constipation at chopper and points forward if radius gets to 2" range. You surely have to watch condition of hammers in edible beans weather you are running conventional or rotary.
