Combines Chopper drive for 1460

I've done it on a 1480. The problem I had is that if your shaft is worn just a little bit the pulley gets loose and destroys itself. What I finally ended up doing was taking the chopper out and taking it to a machine shop to have the drive end shaft replaced. They can cut the splines to a very close tollerance and the pulley will fit tight. It's better that paying 1800$ for a new rotor.

the problem was and is the shaft has steps on the thread end. you have to space with spacers so when you tighten the pulley on tight, you can't tighten the washer and nut to the step on shaft. slide pulley on tight ,then look at shaft , there should be about washer different . the step should be inside of pulley not outside of pulley.
