We put in disrupters and it does help some. However they also increase shoe load as more small stuff winds up going over the shoe. We put on a set of the new curved spreader blades off of a 2388 last fall. That *really* made a big differenc. The spread is nice and even the full header width. No tilled behind on some, and first pass with a field cultivator on some with no problem. Some custom customers run a disc chisel right behind the combine with no trouble. Personally, I wouldn't worry about a chopper, just spend about $165 on the spreader bats. Chads
