I am sure you can get a Bish adapter to do the trick. I see a Claas head on a Deere combine on their web site.

You bet I do, I have worked on Dominators, Commanders for years in Europe, I have to declare that the lexion is a vast improvement to the later models, but still the way the machines are being marketed this side of the pond (US) you are made to think you are buying something really exeptional, sadly that is not true. The Case is still the cheapest combine to own as regards running costs.

Okay, sorry. I've also worked with Mercators, Dominators and the Mega series, as well as Case 1400, 1600, 2100 and 2300 series. The way I see it, combine's performance depends on the driver's knowledge and common sense in largest part, but I fully agree with you, Case machines are way simpler to service, as well as much cheaper in running costs, as you said. I just like to be fair in my judgement. See, the way they're marketed in South Africa, is quite different. Since Claas has always been a major player here, most farmers know the machines. However, lately, people have had millions of problems with new lexions, for example with the 470, complaining that it's under-powered. This is just one example, of course. But, to end off, I agree with you. If I think of the word "combine", I see red..... ;) Regards Marius
