We had a G hydro that had full tracks on it. You pulled the wheel and tire off and put on a drive sprocket. It was built out of a td6 dozer. There where 48" oak 4x4s mounted on the tracks. this machine almost floated. I have had water run in my knee boots when I steped down to the ground. You did most of the steering with the brakes. I have some old pictures of her in full feild dress. I will have to dig them out.

I don't know if I am speaking just for myself or others on this forum, but boy I would sure like to see those pictures!! I never knew they did such a thing. If there is any way you could scan and post it would be really neat. Or take another picture of the picture with a digital camera and post maybe. Thanks Kurt

I will try to do what I can, i am not real good with these computers. Heck if you want I still have the combine and the tracks and hardware for sale. I never thought about it but it would look awsome at a old tractor show. You could buy this set up cheaper than and old green tractor that every show has to many of anyway.(just a joke,) you have to be careful about what you say about the color of equipment. I looked on some of the other combine sites and boy I am glad I stay here with the silver gray guys. Some of those guys have way to much starch in their shorts for me. With the declining ns of farmers out there we should be uniting together for support, not throwing stones. Well enough of my thoughts,,, I will dig up the pictures and see if someone can help me get them on here

Thanks for reminding me. I dug through some old pics and found a couple of my l2 in action. I'm sure that my mother has some shots of the pull-type Gleaner, the AII, and also the CII in action. I have a few pictures of my father's E3 with my grandfather, my father and me standing in front of it. It was the last picture of my grandfather as he passed away four days after the picture was taken. By the way if anyone needs a new straw chopper rotor for a E3 I have one and also the bearings for one.

Great idea! About a month ago I sent in 4 pics to this website of our K2 plot combine alongside of a R72 from last fall's corn harvest. They are neat pics and I asked that they be added to this forum, but have never seen them yet. Anyone have a better way to get pics posted here or elsewhereIJ Digger

I've seen combine pictures posted on Yesterday's Tractors in the Implement Photo section. I've posted a couple non-combine photos there. Fairly painless. Combine photos seem to be generating more interest over there, it's grown a lot from just antique tractors. Hopefully my link works.

The combine ran corn the last time we used it. It was getting tired , it has ran a lot of acres in its day. The diesel engine has low hours on an overhaul and is the only thing on the machine of great value. I have been offered $1000.00 for the engine from a salvage yard. The hydro unit and rice + cane tires should be worth $500.00. I would take $2000.00 for the G with 438 corn head and 13ft grain table with the tracks and hardware. It will need a battery, but other than that drive it home! She is getting old so she isnt pretty anymore. Nor am I.
