machineshop job, take the 71341742 , and replace the big sprocket with a smaller one, or put a bigger spkt on 71357154. OR the later R52s had a bigger elevator - find a salvage one and swapIJ

How much bigger or smaller sprocket could we put on without speeding things up too much and causing problemsIJ If we could find a larger elevator would their be any problems swapping themIJ Didn't know if you have seen either option done before. Thanks for your help!

We have a 6-30 on the combine, and as far as speed it depends on yield and what the shoe will handle. Usually in the 3.5 to 4 mph range. Corn yields range from 180 to 220 bu_acre. Just trying to get a little more capacity without much input. When we do decide to trade it most likely will be a '62, but we aren't ready to do this for a couple of years. The '52 is in good condition.

CUSTOMER Swapped an elevator, didn't say anything about difficulty. As to speed 20% max. Count the teeth multiply by .8 to accomplish 20% overdrive. This will also over drive the tailings which needs to be slowed back down 20%
