Combines Clean grain auger slip clutch keeps slippingIJ

I'm wondering if you're over greasing the slip clutch. If so, that will cause your problem. I only grease mine about one time per season... it helps to keep the slip dogs dry.

I agree with Peterbill you probably have a little too much grease on the dogs. I had the same problem last year and it is very frusturating opening the clean grain hatch to unload the elevator. I guess that you can't say we don't feed the geese. What I did was take the dogs out and spray them with a starting aid fluid or any type of degreaser and grease once a week with only a minimum amount. Good luck and a safe harvest! NDB

There is a pin that drives the incline auger at the bottom of the flighting drive. We had the pin come out but it would still bring the corn into the tank with just the friction of the joint. When the corn got above the incline auger and had to push the grain up it would slip, then plug the auger and the slip clutch would start. Check if you can turn the incline auger in the tank by hand with the machine not running. If you can turn it a little the pin is out at the bottom.

I had the same problem. I did everything these guys said and changed the clean grain ele chain and lOWER SPROCKET but like a moron not the top one. after I trashed a new set of springs (With shorted bushings.) I took the top off the the clean grain elev and guess whatIJ I had a trashed upper sprocket. changed it and the shaft and bearings it has seemed to solve my problem. I also put a new drive chain on the elev drive also along with new sprokets and idlers. Good luck, Will
