Kirk, This job looks harder than it really is. To remove you need to remove clean grain chain, disassemble the bottom boot assy. and remove clean grain conveyor auger. Then remove the rotor gearbox shifter, clean grain idler mounting bracket(Bolts accessed from inside top of elevator housing.),and overfeed auger shaft support bolts. At the top of the elevator you need to remove the hood assy.,or if it is earlier serial number there is a small shield at rear of elevator housing and no hood. Once you get to this point, elevator housing should drop down and back out of its position. Once on the ground you can remove rivets for disassembly. I would go to a yard and get this piece as it very rarely wears out. I have the outer housings made out of galvanized($300 for the pair) when needing replacement since you can't buy just one half from AGCO. My 2 cents worth, Hyper Harvest II

Some R62's that came to Oz in the 1994 build had a bad twist built into the grain elevator, our's included. We had to remove and straighten the elevator. When reassembling, clamp the top or the bottom section down on a full length flat surface before riveting the divider and the other half onto it. You will then finish up with a straight elevator and no twist. 5mm bolts can be used on the bottom boot in lieu of rivets. Makes disassembly easy if needed later. Cheers.
