Combines clean grain elevator f3

I did this on my K2, but I was replacing a short elevator with a longer over-the-bin elevator from a salvage machine, so it was not on the combine. I removed both end boots, then just unbolt the two metal sides that were fitted into a groove on the oak board. My salavage elevator was off an old F, so its board was grooved on both of its edges were the sheet metal fit into and bolted. I don't know if your F3 still has grooves or it may just be flatIJ Easy job, but I remember the board costing $160 from the dealer. I should have cut, drilled, and grooved my own, but didn't have the time. You may be able to remove the chain, top shaft, top boot, unbolt the board, and slide it out through the top, then reverse the process with a new one. The board bolts on mine, went all the way through the board, so you may need a skinner rod to punch them out. Some may be rusted into position.
