G'Day Dave Just some numbers that I have done to give you an idea if you can reduce your clean grain elevator! Using a 30 ft front at 5 MPH in 100 bushel wheat, That would give you approximately 18 to 20 acres_hour which in turn would give to 1800 to 2000 bu_hr clean grain, We know of blokes on here with an R72 in corn can get 4000 bu_Hr up the clean grain elevator with factory set elevator speed so I would think you would have very little trouble with slowing you clean grain down to 50% along as you don't push it any more than that!!! Also remember that torque on the chain will rise a fair amount if you slow it down, so if it's to much you won't wear the chain out, it will just beak!!!! or break something else down the line!!! We have ours here set at about 25% slower than factory but we don't get the yields that some of you US of A guy's get!!!! May be we get 5 tonne a hectare (75 bu_ac MAX.!!!) once every ten years!!!!
