My father-in-law backed into a post and buckled mine on a 2166 so just got done replacing a couple of weeks a go. There is no need to take side shield panels off or top of bin. The easiest part is dissaembling the bottom half. Pull clean grain auger out the left side and then disassemble The lower end. In the grain tank remove the shields on the right side of the elevator. They cover the chain where it comes up in the grain tank. You will have to remove the right side filler plate between the bottom of the grain tank and the elevator to get these shields off. If you have help you can probably leave the bubble up auger in the tube and gear box on but I had to take them off so I could lift the rest myself. To remove the bubble up tube and assembly unbolt from top off clean grain tube and unbolt the piece going down the front of the elevator and then you can lift the whole assembly off of the clean grain elevator. There are four filler plates around the elevator at the bottom off the grain tank that will have to be removed and then the elevator will slide down out off the tank. The right side filler plate will have to be removed before you can remove the shields in the tank that cover the chain but the others should probably be removed after you get the top off of the elevator because they hold it in place and there is some weight pushing forward until the head is removed. An air wrench is very helpfull because there are a lot of zip bolts. It is not to bad just takes a lot of time because there a lot of bolts. It would be a good time to check all prts on the head also. I replaced the two side pieces that hold the bearings on top because they were thin. Hope this helps if you have any questions fell free to email me. I hope my explanation was clear enough. Steve
