Combines Clean R40

The general consensus has been to wash as little as possible, and use an air gun to blow off the combines. We spend about 1 1_2 hours at the end of harvest on each combine with an air gun, but we do use a pressure washer on the radiator to get all the dust and dirt out of it. You could probably get away with washing the body work and windows, but the less water hits the machine, the better.

We've always used a power washer to clean them up at the end of the season, but always remember to start everything up and let it run for at least 15 min to eliminate water from bearings before putting it away.

We never let the combine get wet and there are no exceptions to this rule. We use a leaf blower to get the lions share and then go over the tough spots with an air gun. Air gun extensions made from 1_4 copper help get into tough spots like under engines. Tom in MN
