I think a cleaning product called "The Works" can bring the shine back. Never did it on a combine, but I have seen a guy shine his shed doors up with it. Worked good.

You might try a weak solution of aluminum acidizer that they use at the truck washes on aluminum boxes and wheels

The works will take off the darkness, but will not make a shine. When I tried the works i was dissapointed I would highly advise trying first in a place that will not be seen, because on mine it turned it more whitish than shiny.

A few years ago, I used a recipe from someone on this board, and it worked fairly well. If I remember right, it was 50_50 white vinegar and distilled water. Use a sponge and wipe it on. Make sure that the combine is clean and dry, and stay out of the sun. Start from the bottom, so that you don't have streaks from the solution running down on the discolored area. Try a small area first, but I think it worked pretty good.... Irv
