Combines cold feet literally

8780xp First I never thought about it getting that cold in a combine..but i guess if you are still at harvest it would be cold...the Massey 850s and 860s had a small heater under their seats. maybe get one from a wrecker and install it..the heater hoses would have to run to it but your problems would be solved... You might not even need to use the blower and heater in the top of the cab. as the heat will rise. Good luck and stay warm...Neil

Yes, we still have a lot of harvest to go. Many acres of soybeans still standing and it snows on us about every other day or so. A little nerve racking to say the least. All of the dry corn is still standing waiting for a few more points of moisture to drop. High moisture is wrapped up at least, but we still have a long way to go. Thanks for the replies.

Is there any way you can tie into a couple of the outlets to run some hosing down to the floorIJ Where is the blower fanIJ If it is where you can work with it, can you tie into the plastic ductwork to make some of your ownIJ Just a thought, I know what it is like to freeze on a machine. gs

some of the 300 MF's i've sold had a little box heater and fan mounted on the floor in the RH front corner of the cab... they used the heater outlets for prestone on the engine.....seems like you're answer.....all you need to do is find one. my 2 cents FarmerTom
