Combines combine engine into a tractor

For 2900-2800 4.7 F2M2l2 301's. You will have to change the rear plate on some _ most combine engines as well as the front cover on all. Combines have no provision for hyd pump mount. This involves the cam gear removal or cam removal, pulling up lifters etc. Turbo outlet will be different. A 200 will accept all crank driven oil pump engines as well as cam driven. 180'-185's-190's will have to have the front swivel peg cut and repositioned 4" higher to clear the axel as it swivels. I have used combine M2 fuel pumps and the perform as well as any tractor gov as I can tell no difference that would be worth the $ to change. There are diffent heights of fan locations between 301 mark 1 - 11 - and 28 2900's This is usally no problem that repositioning the shroud by a radiator shop won't cure.

I don't know if this would apply to all Allis engines but on the 433I used on the F3 and 433T on K2 there was no provision to handle the crankshaft end thrust(which is not present on the combine engines but is definately there on the tractor). When these engines were first put in the 6060 and 6080 I heard that AC had to repair alot of engines. I had a 6080(I wish I kept) but it had an external cradle type greasable bearing on the front of the crank, I don't know why this wouldn't work on the 2900, from what I can tell the engines are the same just 2 cyls bigger. Hope this helps.
