My neighbor has 24" wide tires on his R50 for floatation reasons. It floats well but has cost him 2 spindles in the last 2 seasons. His wheel offset is extreme (dish is all the way to the inside) which creates leverage the spindle is not made to handle. His rims were cut and added to (ring welded in) away from the spindle creating the problem. My suggestion if going wider is to go wide inside the spindle as much as steering components will allow, as far as height take into consideration crossing a ditch and tires getting into galv sheet metal.
