I use webtv for my internet access. It uses your tv screen for the monitor. The receiver costs only $99 and it includes a remote and a wireless keyboard. It uses MSN for the e-mail and internet access. It only cost's $9.95 a month. Phone line is not long distance in most places. It never discounnects you, however it is not super fast, but acceptable for me. I put fixed call forwarding on our house phone to my cell phone so we can always be reached even if I'm in Colo. I have nation wide free long distance so the cost is minimal. I bought these webtv's for my sisters in Mich. and Ohio, and even a custom harvesting contact.Sure saves on phone bills.

JD, we have dial up internet also here. We have two phone lines and keep the internet and fax on one line. The internet company would disconnect you after a time if you was not useing the internet so we loaded WeatherBug on and it updates the weather all the time so it keeps the internet hooked up for as long as you like. We use a local number for internet hookup so somtimes it stays on for days at a time. Without the WeatherBug we would be disconnected all the time and then could not get hooked back up.
