Running with a 2166 and a 1020_25' flex at $36.00_ac. In 2004 we charged $34.00_ac including buggy but like you said the extra cost of fuel works out to an additional $3.00_ac. My question is how do you explain this to a customer when his commodity price has not increasedIJ I may run an extra fuel surcharge this fall to help cover the cost of fuel being used by the buggy tractor. Just curious where in Southwestern Ontario are you locatedIJ I'm from the Tillsonburg area.

Ripped your right about how can a person charge more for combining when commodity prices have gone up... BUT... these guys more of us combine for realistically can't afford to own there own machines which would cost them way more to have their own crops taken off.. But as we all know there are guys out there combining and cuting prices left and right... who in the right mind would combine say wheat today with our yields in our area for anything less then at the min.. $32_acre which is still way cheap.. just my 2 cents... but i do like ur idea with the buggy situation.. i dont konw if i could be so trust worthy with some of my customers doing that...

I've been charging 30 for years but to show any profit one needs 40.
