A TR86 is about a class 5 combine so that would be like a John Deere 9500, CIH 1660, or a Gleaner R52. I don't know what MF would be, maybe a 750 or 850IJ Ilnh
Is a tr85 the same capacity as a tr86IJ I thought a tr86 is just a newer version of tr85. where can I get a listing of combine classes, what combines are class 123 ect. ect. I didn,t think a tr86 could keep up with a 9500.I suppose s cube rotors make a big difference. Thanks John
The TR86 and later TR8x models except for the TR89 were considered class 5 machines. All of these were basically the same chasis. Class size is based on HP and grain tank capacity and is set by the manufactures assoc. In most cases a TR86 will keep up with a 9400_9500 JD combine. It has similar engine HP as the 9500. However the chasis is narrower than the Deere and without a prechaffer section it has a smaller cleaning shoe area, so there are conditions where it may not clean as much crop as fast. The Deere sieve's are shorter in length than the NH's are. The TR89 is the same chasis as the TR99 and older TR9x models down to the TR96 but has less HP than the class 6 machines.
