Combines compare IH 2188 vs R 62

About equal capacity machines. The R62 edge will come in any grade or sidehill work. The edge will again show up if the Hyper Mods are made, the 62 can be bounced to a superior machine in capacity. The 62 has fewer parts to wear out or maintain than the 2188, so over the long run it should cost less spread over the years. Both are great machines otherwise, good choices!

Do you want heavy final drives, a one piece all welded frame (not bolted, IH),natural hillside abilities, 25 mph road speeds, 4 speed transmission. Well these are the silver machines qualities, yeah I think they have a superior machine when it comes to dollar for dollar. Just make sure any machine you buy (if used) is rebuilt to make it perform the way its ment to whatever color it is. Every machine has wear points, that if not rebuilt will cause lack of performance. The Gleaners are helical bars and accelerator rolls, just make sure they are in decent shape. Have a nice day!!!!

I'm sure you know which one I'd pick but I won't comment there. Just wanted to say that R62s had anywhere from I believe 228hp to 285hp. Take the advise of the corn and bean experts (HYPER) and hyperize it and enjoy.
