Well, I'll try to take a stab at this. 82 or 92 massey harris were about equal to the 55 jd. the massey ferguson 410 and 510 were around the jd's 6600 and 7700 era. Then you had the 750, 760 series for the early turbo series 20 series deeres and then the 850, 860's came out when the titans were running if I am on the right track (kinda flying blind here so anyone jump right in and help) After that I'm sorta lost but in your post you list a 9600_9700. Uhm, where in the heck did you ever see a 9700 JDIJ Maybe you meant 9500_9600IJ The early white rotory models that Massey they painted thier colors and put thier logo on had one called a 9700 if memory serves me right but I know nothing of the machine other than a farm nearby had some and they were quite a large machine.

Im not 100% sure about all of these but have a pretty good idea from all the combine brochures I collect. 300=2-3 row_early 60s-mid 70s 410=3-4 row_early 60s-early 70s 510=4 row_early 60s-mid 70s 540=3-4 row_late 70s-mid 80s 550=4 row_late 70s-late 80s 750=6 row_mid 70s-early 80s 760=6-8 row_early 70s-early 80s 850=6 row_early 80s-late 80s 860=6-8 row_early 80s-late 80s Im not very up to speed on the rotors but they started making them in the mid to late 80s. The first series was just about identicall to the White 9320. They were all 6-8 row machines untill the newest ones, they have a 12 row head for them. Massey is developing a class 8 rotor with the big rotor out of the old 9700 White[over 160 inches long].
