What viruses have you been gettingIJ I know lately Norton has detected the "Klez" virus (6 times in the last 4 days alone)trying to get on my system. Its always been through email though, never through this site. Klez is a worm that may be able to infect links on a page though, although I could be wrong.Best protection is to keep your anit virus program upto date and scan often.

My Norton has found "Nimda.enc" and "Opaser.worm". It hasn't caused me any trouble since I keep my virus protection very up to date, but just wanted to check to see if I was the only one, and if I was getting it from here or if it is hidden in my computer somewhere. Thanks Kurt

The Opaserv worm attacks your shared resources. It really doesn't matter what web site you happen to be visiting, it can attack from anywhere on the web. I assume that you have your hard disk shared. If you have a shared disk, you should assign a password that is necessary to access the drive, run the Opaserv fix, and Opaserv will then leave you alone. Ed in Montana

Thank you Ed, didn't know that I could learn about gleaners and computer from this site. I have ran the Opaserv fix, but have still some problems. I will have to try the hard drive password. Kurt

Best way to protect from virus's I've found was switching to a Mac over 4 years ago! And now today with Mac OS X and it's UNIX stability, it is far superior to anything from the Gates of hell at Micro$aft! Thanks for reminding me of what a "virus" is and does. PS before I get flamed for the no software for Mac arguement, there is Virtual PC for those who can't let go of Windoze. Have a great Holiday all.
