Combines Concave in W Wheat

Pete, We run all the small wires in on our TR98. I don't think you need the agitation pins, unless you have a lot of weeds maybeIJ I had a TR96 that we ran with all small wires out and rollers on the big wires, it did Okay but had more white caps in the sample. Don't run rotor any faster than you need to also, you will overload the shoe if you over thresh. Run as much air as you can, you will get most capacity out of your combine. With a lot of air you can have a fast ground speed and limit your loss out the back. We had 70+ bpa wheat this year and heavy straw and ran 4.5 mph. Rotor speed about 1100 and fan speed around 850 to 900. Wish you luck, Ilnh

Hey Ilnh, your header width is a vital part of that equation. He'd have a harder time with a 30 or more with your figures wouldn't heIJ JD

JD, Yea I guess I should of said that we run a 25' head. Thanks for pointing that out. Also should say most of my wheat was dry, 15% or less. Ilnh
