Combines Concave modifications R60

Hello Mdub, I have an R-7 with an extended Sunnybrook concave (so it should be similar to your R60). Presently use 4 filler strips which are now permanently installed (tried removing them for various crops, but it was too time consuming_dirty). Have not encountered higher cracking nor loss of capacity by keeping them in. Still start with recommended factory settings but find I can (usually) run the concave_rotor at slightly larger opening and slightly lower RPM-even in tough flax_wheat have never had to deviate much from the factory concave recommendations. I combine wheat, barley, flax, canola and peas. Used to install_remove filler strips all the time in our conventional pull type-finally left 4 in permanently. Hope that helps. David

Don't realy need any for the easy thresh and as many as four in the hard to thresh. With out tailings return to cylinder in hard thresh you may need more. We usually installed two right of the bat and left in for all crops except edible beans. Good luck
