Combines concave setting

PC, The adjustment of the concaves on the right side moves the concaves from right to left or left to right. The most accurate way to do this is with the middle concave removed. The normal setting is so the n8 concave, counting down from where the concave extension bolts on, hits the rotor bars first. If you're have trouble getting all the corn off the cob in that high moisture corn adjusting the concave so the n7 concave hits the roter bar first will give you more aggresive thrashing but this also tends to overload the left side of the shoe, cutting down on the shoe capacity. Some guys use cover plates to get more aggresive thrashing but I'm not a fan of those because I feel like they really cut down on your rotor capacity. Hope this helps. K.A.
