I use the large wire concaves, a stripper head, airjet chaffer, 3 cover plates, and a std rotor and it works great. Can easily cut 1100 bu_hr with nothing coming out the back. I haven't pulled every other wire but have heard it still works fine.
Smiley, Thank you for the reply. What size of header and combine do you haveIJ What fan speed with the AirJetIJ Have you had any trouble with the feeder drive running the shelbourne headerIJ Thanks, Randy
Sorry - I should have included that info. I have a 2388 with 28' Shelbourne and am running max air (1250-1300rpm). I have run a stripper head since 1995 and have not had any trouble with the feeder drive. Original belt on my 1998 2388. I run the concave tight and 850-950 rpm. The airjet chaffer was the single most impressive add-on that I've tried. Just push that hydro forward until you power out - that's your limit.
