http:__toolbar.google.com_ Try this site to download the google tool bar. Once it is installed use the pull down menu under search web and pick current site. This will allow searches on whatever web site you are on at that time. It works great and has a lot of nice options and is free. Give it a try.

I am running the same machine but I only opened up to 3_4" and was running about 340 rpm.I seemed to be getting a lot of whole cobs with a little higher rpms. I dont think you can get by without cracking some corn with the soft corn we had this year

Sounds like you have it just right. The clearance at the front will open up at very close to same rate as the rear. The center clearance grows faster than front. The wider you get the more concentric the middle to rear of concave is with cylinder. If ever adjusted toward MIN be carefull for there is a point that front of concave get tighter than rear especially at the wider gaps. If ever adjusted toward MAX be carefull for there is a point that front of concave will be wider than wear strip if it is installed. Sometimes that wear strip just ahead of concave can be removed (like popcorn or very tender crops) to prevent the slightest damage you may not want. You may want to consider removing your wear strip if you like running that wide of concave clearance with front moved toward MAX. That may even help prevent some of your ground kernals. Good luck
