Deereslayer, Agree with everything you said. This hole Ag economy. The dealer , the farmer , the supplier, all getting bigger. Something is going to have to give sooner or later. The big run all the little guys out of buisness then whatIJIJIJIJ And I am not running the big farmers down. Just stating a fact. There is a Deere dealer in our state that is buying every dealership out in site, and no one can sell as cheap as him. Illinois Gleaner

We have that going on here too Il Gleaner and the Deere dealer sells cheaper and then only services the 4000 Acre or above operator. Either trying to force all the smaller operators out or feels that their money isn't as green. I started over 25 years ago and had mostly Deere and now own mostly Orange_Silver and Red because of the way Deere has been doing its business with the smaller(under 1500 acre) farmers. We had a Excellent MA and PA JD store locally until 4 years ago, then this YO YO bought them out and has ruined 85% of that customer base. He prefers chasing the Farm Program Millionaires that our Sen.Tom Harkin and Sen.Charles Grassley are working to do away with. My uncle rolls over his Case Axial every other year with Waltermans in Dike, IA, and yes I see an end to that soon too. The combines will get CaseNH and JD before it does Gleaner or Massey here in IA. The Gleaners, Massey and lexions are not rolling over near as fast and are much harder to find on a dealers lot. My Agco dealer sold over a dozen new Gleaners last season and turned right around and sold more than 80% of the trade-ins. Won a vacation from Agco for it! Doing well on the new Agcos and their trade-ins. They are still a Ma and Pa operation and have stayed with the times and economy by not trying to be huge!

You said it. It is getting JD and CNH already. That's why last year AGCO and Claas were the only two AG mfts showing a profit. JD had its biggest loss in history.

I agree with all of your comments. I am 29 and have been farming for five years as well as teaching. I am buying AGCO equipment just about everytime I buy something. Our local dealer(BandG in Hopkinsville, KY)is very good and treats us just like some of the large farmers even though we only plant 220 acres. likewise, with me bieng a small farmer, I am better able to afford the good used AGCO equipment as opposed to the almost double prices the red and green are going for in my area.
