Nobody is confused except for maybe you.The 8780 was painted Cat yellow to show the Cat dealers what they could sell along with some other AGCO products.Saw the pictures myself. As far as a new combine,Massey is comeing out with a bigger 8780 in August of this year.

Not sure what you're getting at, but Cat dealers may want to sell a true rotary in their own colors and Massey dealers still want their own combine for sale in their own colors just like the Agco, Challenger, and Massey wheel tractors are basically the same tractor in different colors, engines, and different hoods.

Also, it's my understanding that part of the deal was to allow Agco to sell other equipment through participating Cat dealers as Agco stated earlier they were working on signing up additional dealers of other makes, and if I understand right, the Challenger tractor may be sold in Agco colors someday. I'm sure the new Massey combine will be sold in both Challenger yellow and Massey red.

These folks aren't confused. Cat dealers will continue to sell the lexion, but AGCO will also offer the new Massey machine as a Challenger, painted yellow, through Cat dealers. Cat dealers will be offering two completely different, competing combine lines, sourced through two different manufacturers. Am I the only one who thinks that the Cat ag dealer program sounds like a bunch of old short-line dealershipsIJ

I heard that cat dealerships will continue to sell the Challenger tractors with the CAT name and the AGCO dealers will sell the challenger in cat colors but with the name CAT POWER.

Just returned from the Heston plant tour today. There words where there will be a Massey combine as a Challenger line painted yellow with a cat engine. They will also have the red machine with Cummins. There are no plans to put a cat in the Gleaner as they are working very close with Cummins.
