Actually none. I will take your comment_question as a tongue in cheek honest one, however I feel a bit of biting sarcasm here. Any farmer _ contractor should be proud to have the Hurtts as a dealer no matter if they sold Deere, CNH, or qumquats. This business and life is more than proving ones self worth by the color of car_tractor one drives or for that matter the color of ones skin. We all have our prejudices, that is human nature. However when one tries to propell oneself above another by pulling the other fellow down it akins itself to the drowning man syndrome; climbing on top of the rescuer and thus drowning him drowns the victim as well. That said, the AGCO tractor is built by people who receive a check and benefits written by AGCO, the vendors are paid with a check printed by AGCO, Wall Street sees AGCO, the name plate over the tractor plants say AGCO as well as the name of the individual tractor brands. Agco has partnerships with Gima and Renault. Thus your logic would be that MF tractors are Gimas or whatever. AGCO _ MF do only differ in engines mainly, however the engine_hp is usually the n2 reason folks choose tractors behind service. (SITSMICWACFSAMB, service is the single most important consideration when a competant farmer selects a machinery brand) . New AGCO models will also be introduced this summer that will be unique to AGCO. New parnerships in production will more likely be forthcoming as well. Finally, while I don't know specific $ amount or numbers through Hurtt, the retail dollars would be measured by million with an 's' on the end I would figure. Great market share and volume by ANYONES standard. While naysayers love to beat up on AGCO the fact remains that their marketshare slowly, steadly increases.

I can't say that I am an AGCO fan at all. But at the same time I am glad to hear, that what most people see as an under dog, is gaining market share. Because this is going to force the market leaders to get off their high horse in the long run. Thank you tbran and good luck to AGCO!

A very well thought-out reply, if I do say so myself. I suppose if AGCO uses Funk trannies then there must (indirectly) be a little Deere in dem dare AGCO's as well! ;-)

While walking around in the AGCO booth at the farm show near Ames last fall, I had an interesting conversation with a rep from Deere. We were looking at a Gleaner R-72 and he broke into a conversation about the combine and was asking questions to me of what I thought of it and what brand I preferred. He said to me that Deere isn't afraid of or watching CNH as much as they are AGCO. WhyIJIJ Cuz AGCO is making money and adding brands to their line, as well as spending money to develop products to assure their success and future. Kindof humbling coming from an alleged n1 in the industry if you ask me.

Thank Tim and others for your kind words. Hurtt Equipment owners Tom, Dan, lowell Jr. all lowell Seniors sons, along with employees Carla (Tom's wife),Scott, Chad, Jason would like to thank custumers that have the convidence to buy and support our store. I also would like to thank the present and past employees along with company reps. that all have a part in where we are today. We have had as busy of a summer as I can ever remember for the lawn and Garden, tillage, tractor, and harvesting equipment sales have been great. We grew up in this area surrounded by dealers of all colors which many have since disappeared or switched owners a time or two. As any Allis Gleaner original dealer of years gone by, we have been threw alot. Not to say that other equipment dealers haven't also for even the one that still has original name has had many completely new machines (good, bad, or otherwise) in similiar amount of time. Anyway I'm finially having a little time to reflect on last summer. I need to try find the time to do some updating upgrade area on our web site for I know there are some mistakes and more cures for old problems that I need to get noted. Thanks again Tim and I know I saw B and G was in the running for some top award at AGCO and it may make ours look small. I'll be watching for your name. Keep up the great work
