Yes, it will help your resale-but I really don't get why. I have a 443 without it and a 643 with oil drive. Actually I find the non-oil drive easier to service-maybe I don't put enough acres through them and I am pretty meticulouis about maintaining both but I haven't have any problems with either and if I were buying anohter head I personally wouldn't pay more for oil-bath or convert to it.

I ran Massey combines for 20+ years the corn heads had the chains in the open and you just oiled them, never had a problem, bought a Deere a couple of years ago and couldn't see why I wanted to pay more for and oil drive head, spray the chains a couple of times a day while your unloading and walking around the machine

the oil drive heads are newer, so usally worth a bit more. However, I have seen older heads in much better shape with alot fewer acres on them and cheaper too.

My feelings exactly. I saw a very clean, extremely well taken care of high tin 643 sell in december for about 2300 bucks. It will run just as long as any oil drive. easier to work on too. gs
