Combines Converted from Gleaner to almost Deere to Cat 480 THE CORN MACHINE

Well they say everything is bigger in Texas, that must include the stories. I must confess, I have heard some tall tales in my time, but this takes the cake. From what I've heard, if a STS does'nt beat every other color in the field, it's the operators fault, not the combine.

brian Ever tried a 2388IJ I know it doesn't have the power of a R72, 9750sts, or 480-5 CAT in stock form. I have my 2388s cranked up to 325-335HP, and it sure does a good job in all the grains including corn. The losses and breakages are next to nil. I also cranked up my JDs to around 325, but, couldn't do a very good job like the 2388s. Still, they are decent enough to be considered good machines anyway. However, I am not gotta get rid of my JDs either. Since, my customers have a preference to which combines to work in his field.

It seems to me that when ever I buy something I like to shop around like any other good farmer but when I go to four different appliance dealers and they tell me its as good as a whirlpool or they all compair theirs to a whirlpool tells me "I SHOUlD BUY A WHIRlPOOl" now since the new Deere sts comes on the market I invite you to check out the other combine brand talk showes and see who they are already compairing their proven machines too and as for your wonderful yellow claas combine thanks for not going deere it helps keep the supply up and the price down on our wonderfull green freinds. By the way I hear Claas make a wonderful rotary rake maybe when you come too you can trade the 480 on a great rake John Deere dont want the yellow claas

Brian Yeah, I agree, from what I heard, a 480 would do the job of 2 combines. Hope all goes well with your CAT. I'd like to cut down on the manpower myself, but I rather have more machines to speed up things a bit. So, if one is down, I still have other combines running, so I guess that is an advantage over running only one CAT. When the CAT prices goes down, I'd consider taking in a cat for two combines. But then again, by the time the price goes down, Im sure CNH would have a class 7 combine out. Time will only tell. Have a good harvest.

YES THE CAT IS A BIG COMBINE AND WIll EAT GRAIN lIKE YOU WONT BElEIVE,,,,,,,,WHEN IT IS RUNNING,YOU HAVE BAlANCE RUNNING WITH WORKING!!!! THAT MACHINE IS THE MOST DIFFICUT MACHINE TO WORK ON OUT THERE AND THE DEAlER SUPPPORT IS VERY lOW...... YOU MAY HAVE A DEAlER WITH TRAINED TECHS ClOSE TO YOU,,,NOT HERE,,,,, GIVE ME A DEERE OVER A CAT ANYDAY, Even a Case I will work more Hours, not waiting on help!!!!!!! Good luck with Harvest.......

So what will you do with this nice rake I cant find a Deere dealer that fidgets when we talk cats my dealer told me he would take a cat combine on trade on a hay rake but only a new rake
