Winchester, The way you describe your light coming on dim, then bright,then dim brings to mind a couple of things to check.Do a continuity check between engine harness disconnect on front side of engine to ring tongue that connects to sensor.(Disconnect at both places to check.)I have seen where the air blast from the cooling fan can break the wires internally and only make connection intermittenly.As you are checking continuity,wiggle the wire in the air blast area.Another thing to check is when this light is coming on during the day,shut the air conditioning off and see if light goes out.Also,is this light coming on after dark when you turn the lights onIJ If so,have had several combine that are picking up alternator charging which can make the light come on.The only way to fix this problem is run a new wire on the outside of loom to the cab and tie in under console.
